In northern Los Angeles, Rod Emory shop restores Porsche 356 coupes and convertibles, and one of their projects is the 1958 Porsche 356 Emory Special that will leave a mark in the future owner's collection. The Emory Special is a modern take on the classic Porsche 356 sports car, updated with premium flourishes and performance upgrades. This iconic car was taken out of production in 1956 but remained a favorite among collectors worldwide. The Emory Special features a 2.4-liter flat-four engine with 185bhp, Weber IDA carburetors, Carrera-style dry sump, and custom intake/ exhaust manifolds. Other components contain shark-like gills on the side for cooling the rear-mounted engine, a security roll-cage, aerodynamic fender-mounted mirrors, and old-school fog lamps that beautifully merge into the structure.
