The Gilak Villa is a contemporary vision of traditional Iranian architecture. In response to the hot climate and high humidity typical for coastal or mountainous Zagros regions. Team Design Group designed this latest house with strategic openings that help maximize cross-ventilation. While also incorporating exterior features like porches and interior spaces such as an open closet arrangement so you can see your clothes before putting them away. The Gilak Villa is designed by the architects at Team Design Group in Iran as a nine-square grid. All four external boundaries are opened on all sides, with central doors, while the interior opens up through a central courtyard that cuts through to the sky above. The house's distinctive gabled roof adds to its distinctiveness. While this part of the country has been known for such gabled roofs, domed or flat roofs are more common elsewhere throughout Iran.
