BMW has gone ahead and done it again, introducing the captivating G7 Scrambler concept. Coming in both electric and Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) versions, this motorcycle stands out for its powerfully striking Z-shaped frame, relatively wide bottom, cantilever seat, and intense headlight.
Conceived by Canada-based designer Anssi Mustonen, the G7 is a bold vision of contemporary cycling culture - something we haven't quite seen before from BMW's Motorrad division. It pays homage to BMW's classic scrambler R nineT but with several distinct features that make it worthy of its own designation as a new-era scrambler.
The bike's blocky silhouette suggests a more refined manufacturer aesthetic than other scramblers, making it perfect for urban settings and accommodating roads less traveled - like dirt trails and winding backwoods woodland paths. Its rugged tires add to the feeling of adventure while balancing its sophistication perfectly.
The two bikes may look exactly alike on the outside but have vastly different powertrains, with one boasting an ICE engine and the other running on a battery charge with an electric motor. This allows riders to choose between power sources according to individual preference without any compromise in aesthetics or performance.
If you're looking for a versatile bike that can double for weekend day trips or commutes around town, then the G7 is worth considering. It provides an exciting ride together with reliable endurances thanks to its use of advanced technologies found in each of its two variants - all while keeping true to BMW's iconic scrambler heritage.
